You Just Gotta Trust In HIM

My absolutely wonderful, amazing, hardworking husband!

Before I get started I would just like to say that I am so proud of my husband. I definitely have the best one out there. He stood up for his family this week and turned a could be horrible situation into some quality time together. I will be doing a combined 29/30 week update later today as well.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Jordan came home on Thursday (6/29) evening and told me that he has lost his job (the job where his iPhone was stolen the day before). He would rather quit/get fired instead of work another day in the situation he was working in. I'm not going to go into details of why because if  you're close enough to us you know. Let's just say things were said that weren't meant to be talked about on the job and Jordan was tired of putting up with it. His job was the only source of income for us considering I'm 30 weeks pregnant. Jordan talked with my parents first before talking to me about it because he wanted to get some things figured out because he didn't want to stress me out. Stress + Me = Early Labor. I am so proud of the way he handled the situation and how was I suppose to stress out about it when he promised me he had everything under control and all we had to do was trust in God.

By the end of the night he had already had one interview scheduled for a Painter's Apprentice in Daytona Beach for Friday morning at 7:30. We were able to go to bed with a piece of mind that things are going to be okay. I was looking forward to spending all day with my husband (even if that meant driving from place to place putting in job applications) considering I rarely see him while the sun is up. My father also decided to help us put in a few job applications and take Jordan to see the Army recruiter considering he has put off going to the recruiter because he never has a weekday off. So things were looking up for the weekend and I don't think anything could really get us down at that point. We would be excited if just one thing went right for us on Friday.

We show up at the interview and everything he said went great. The boss was going to give him a call back on Saturday to let him know if he had the job or not. Being a painters apprentice, we weren't going to have any benefits and he would have to be on call 24 hours. It was a job. We then met up with my father back in DeLand and we headed to the recruiters station. While we have never received good news from the recruiter since we are going through the Permanent Resident Card replacement process with homeland security because his wallet was stolen in October along with his social security card. That's another story with how long the process is taking and most other jobs wouldn't hire him unless he had the hard copies even though we have verification papers, anyways. The recruiter went fantastic. Jordan actually had questions answered and was told what he needed to do to start to process again since being medically discharged from the early entry program with the marines back in 2011 due to having to go on 9 months of hard core antibiotics. All Jordan had to do was bring back his passport/visa, birth certificate, and high school diploma and they could start the process with him and even expedite the permanent resident card process! Everything was going our way. We put in a few more job applications before calling it a day and went out for a much needed date night.

While we were in the dollar theater watching 42 (Jackie Robinson movie which part of his story took part in DeLand) Jordan received another phone call about an interview. This interview was set up for Monday at 7:30 for VOLUSIA COUNTY SCHOOLS as a groundskeeper! Now we just needed to hear back from the painters job and we did the following day.

Jordan got the job as the painters apprentice and he asked if he could go to the 7:30 "appointment" and come into work afterwards. His new boss said no. We were torn now so Jordan asked if he could call back in an hour and give his new boss an answer. Jordan has never had the opportunity to choose between two jobs. We were like do we turn down a definite job for a better job interview? After talking it out we decided to trust God again and go with our gut feeling. Jordan turned down the job offer to go to the interview on Monday and it was one of the best decisions we ever made!

Jordan knocked the job interview out of the park. He was hired on the spot, filled out all the paperwork, and received his employee handbook. When he came back to the jeep two hours after his interview started we were off to Labcorp to get his drug test and to UPS for him to get fingerprinted. Everything fell into place and this job is an amazing opportunity with possible benefits after a certain time period. He should start early next week.

While we are 100% grateful for the opportunity he had at his old job because it gave us a starting position in a new state as a new family we are even thankful for the new one. NO more 3:30 A.M. wake up calls, NO more coming in after midnight to only sleep a few hours and go back, NO more of him being overworked and underpaid, and NO more wondering what hours he'll be working.

While we don't know 100% of all the details we do know the he has a set schedule Monday thru Friday 6:30-3:30 which means I have my husband back. We can plan TOGETHER for the arrival of our first son. I was so excited to schedule the birth center tour for Monday that I've been putting off for weeks because I didn't want to go without Jordan and now I can schedule some last minute parenting classes as well. Jordan can come to my doctors appointments & ultrasounds, we can work together getting the nursery together, and we get to spend some much needed quality Husband & Wife time together before our son arrives in September.

Thank You to everyone that has been praying for our situation and I want everyone to know that God works everything out as long as you trust in him. We thought we would be struggling to make ends meet until he starts his job but God has blessed us in more ways than just the job. My mother-in-law gave us a belated wedding present of BRAND NEW tires for the jeep which were very much needed as our tires were starting to split. Since his pay is backed a week from his old job  he has two set weeks of pay checks and God is still blessing us. My old OB in North Carolina sent us a pretty check in the mail because we over paid and we even picked up a baby sitting job this week so God is truly showing us what can happen when we trust in him. Thanks to the extra income we are finally able to schedule an eye exam for Jordan and get his some new contacts since his glasses have broke at least 4 times and super glue is holding them together. Just keep trusting in him no matter what and he'll take care of it.

I hope everyone enjoy's celebrating their FREEDOM today and the birthday of this amazing country we are able to live in. Be thankful for the small things in life that some people take for granted. You never know when life is going to throw a lemon or two your way.

Until Next Time
XOXO

There's Always A Rainbow After It Rains

Shelby from Nystroms and Nugget. came to visit me today!

I can't even begin to explain how much of a roller coaster life was last week. Last week was full of hormones, mood swings, and unpacking stress. I don't think anything can ruin this week and it's only Tuesday! I'm just going to give you a day by day playbook of what's been going on since Sunday!

SUNDAY (Let The Baby Registry Begin)
We are officially registered at TargetWalmart, and on Babyli.st! I don't know when you last walked thru the baby section but I was in shock! There is so many things, gadgets, and whatchamacallits. Some are pure genius and others you just want to shake your head at. I had my mind made up when my husband and I walked in that I wouldn't go to crazy on the registry. I scanned a few items before Jordan stole the scanner and started acting like he was on the M.I.B ride and all the price tags were little aliens that were going to suck out your brain! Sound effects were made along with several laughs. The most disturbing thing that I did see was the following.
As much as I love my son, I don't think I will ever have the stomach to do this. I'm just going to stick with the blue boogie bulb they give you in the hospital. If any of you plan on going to register at Target soon, I suggest opening up the goodie bag first because they have a list of all the suggested items. We are just beginning the registry at Walmart (we're still working on that registry) because they have some items that Target doesn't have which sucks because I love Target baby but Walmart is a lot more budget friendly even though I don't think the words baby and budget friendly go together in anyway.

Now, I'm not going to go into full detail about my new favorite site since that's a whole nother (I don't that's gramatically correct--- oh well) post. To the inventor of babyli.st, I bow down to you. If you have ever been pregnant then you know about the pregnancy brain. Babyli.st is like pinterest for registries. You download the "Add to BabyList" button into your toolbar and you can "pin" items from different websites onto one registry. You get a customizable url that you can share via facebook or give out on your invites. It's just fantastic. You can organize the pins into categories and it's easy to check off when someone buys an item. Favorite site ever!!

Monday (Finally Unpacked)
We are officially unpacked 100% and organized! I have caught up on all of the laundry and basically the only dirty clothes we have are the clothes we are wearing! I have the nursery cleared of all moving boxes so I can actually start making it look like a nursery! I put together the changing table so now people won't see it as just another empty room with pieces of wood on the floor. All we are waiting for is the nightstand and TV we left in NC which will be down here in a week or so!
There's just something about a splash of yellow. I think it's thanks to Heather Burris at Tickled Yellow!
"From there to here, from here to there, baby things are everywhere!"

Tuesday (Nystroms and Nugget. & The Doctor All In One Day)
Today, I was honored with the presence of Shelby and her husband Josh today. They are expecting a little chicken nugget this winter. Shelby is 10 weeks behind me so I guess I'm going to be the experimental mother. If I find an easier way to handle things then she'll know and won't have to go through trial and error the first time around. She'll thank me later.
With 3 dogs running around like crazy fighting over toys, with it raining cats and dogs outside, and with the pomeranian chasing the husky around the couch it's a miracle we were able to have a conversation. We vented about all of our pregnancy stories and it was nice to finally talk to someone other than a dog or my family in person! I feel like a normal person again that has friends and not someone who is stuck in the house day after day. Jordan has been working 12 plus hour days so it gets pretty lonely. We talked about bumps, how we found out we were pregnant, and of course everything to do with babies! I was actually able to show off the nursery, our cozy bathroom, and our amazing backyard! It's nice to have a friend that can relate to pregnancy brain and all things baby.
I also finally got the call that I've been waiting for. I finally heard back from the doctor's office that I've been waiting to approve my medical records for weeks! I go to the doctor June 6th to check up on little Hunter. I've never been so excited for an appointment. I hope they do an ultrasound to check up on my cyst and of course the little bundle of joy.

I just hope the rest of the week goes as smoothly as the last few days. I have plenty to look forward to this week. Tomorrow I'm catching up with another high school friend and I finally get to meet her gorgeous  5 1/2 month old princess. Thursday I'm packing for the dog show in Ft. Myers which will be Jordan's first. Friday we are on the road with the family to the show where we will be selling all of our homemade goodies from all natural treats to paracord collars and leashes to show leads! I just hope the weeks after this keep getting better as we are getting closer and closer to meeting our prince!

FOR THE COMMENTS: What good news do you have to share?
XOXO

Just A Little Update (Moving, Graduations, Baby, and Wedding)

            Home Sweet Home

I haven't forgot about the blog for the few that follow. Life has just been super super hectic. We have moved into our new house over the weekend and I will be doing a new house blog this week once we get everything unpacked. Jordan has settled into his new job, Ashlee graduates college this week, and then she'll graduate high school June 2nd. Ashlee & Andrew's wedding is less than a month away. We have to get the house in order, the backyard in order (when I post pictures you'll understand), finish the nursery, and figure out where everyone is sleeping by June. There is so much to do in so little time!

I'm also going to start doing weekly pregnancy updates on here to keep everyone who wants to keep updated with all the planning of little Hunter Granados. Look for one on Thursday!

XOXO

Those Moments You Just Shake Your Head At

Do you ever have those moments where you just shake your head at? During my wedding there were numerous moments that I was freaking out about but looking back all I can do is laugh. With six bridesmaid, six (five on the day of the wedding) groomsmen, and two flower girls; I knew there would be some moments. My pregnancy brain doesn't help any either. I hope these moments give you a little chuckle wherever you are reading this to help you getting over the mid week hump!

WEDDING MISHAPS

-One of the groomsmen got the stomach flu the day of the wedding and had to stay home.

-I ended up doing all of the bridesmaids and flower girls hair. We were running out of time and they were very tender headed. I didn't care. *insert evil laugh here*

-45 minutes before the wedding we discover that three groomsmen had bought the wrong color tie.

-I forgot to put my blusher on before going down the aisle. I didn't even realize it until I got all the way down and saw my sister and we both started laughing.

-I tripped going up onto the stage.

-During my vows the pastor called Jordan a "her" three times due to a typo on his papers. We didn't catch it until watching the video.

-Our best man and maid of honor couldn't hold their laughter for anything.

-My husband and some of the wedding party had the bright idea to go bowling the night before the wedding. Jordan's finger swelled up and we couldn't get his ring on so we just got it on as far as we could and during the prayer he had to spit on it to get it all the way on.

-I about fainted during pictures because my child was on my sciatic nerve.

-My flower girls tossed the flowers on the way out of the church

-My cousin Sarah was so cute requesting songs for me from the DJ at the reception but for some reason when Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA came over the speakers the dance floor emptied like their was a plague.

-We had bought toasting glasses for the wedding party but we didn't know they were for display only until we discovered the holes in the bottom.

EVERYDAY LIFE

-I have a problem with taking compliments and for some reason I find anything and everything to say instead of just thank you. Heather came up to me at church and told me that my hair looked good and instead of just saying thank you I blurted out, "I haven't washed my hair in two days." Let's just say it was a rough morning with the pregnancy.

-I walked into work last week and this girl practically yells, "You look massively pregnant today!" I didn't even know how to respond to that.

-The same girl the next day again practically yells when I walk in, "Your boobs are massive today!" Again, I was speechless.

-Just the other day I was riding in the car with Jordan and my dad on the way to dinner when my filter came off. They were talking about a totally random topic when I blurted out, "I haven't peed all day." I honestly can't stop myself sometimes.

-My husband and I were on the way back from our honeymoon when it just started raining cats and dogs out of no where and then just stopped. I had just checked the radar about 5 minutes before and there wasn't any rain clouds so I re check it. I zoomed in like 5 times to find the tiniest rain cloud I have ever seen. It couldn't have been more than 500ft. We as a couple did the only thing that came to our mind; we named him and made up a whole story for him. Cloudis got left behind by all the other clouds because he was moving too slow. All the other clouds were in the desert and cloudis was still stuck in Georgia. We did voices and everything. Definitely one of our favorite honeymoon moments.

XOXO

Where To Begin?

Just my prince charming whom I married on March 30, 2013!

If I would have told myself last summer that in 2013 I was going to get engaged, marry that handsome man I'm dating, move back to Florida, and welcome a baby boy into the world; I would of fainted. This all has happened so fast so I'm just trying to find the positive in every situation.

I mostly started this blog so I can have a place to organize my thoughts and share with all of the family and friends what is going to be going on in our lives as we take another big step as a family. I don't even know if I am doing this right but I guess I will learn over time.

The main inspiration for starting a blog came from my good friend's Heather Burris' Blog. If she wouldn't have started her blog then I wouldn't know how awkward and more amazing she was. She's also a newlywed so we're both trying to figure out this whole "wife" thing. I figured I could share all of Jordan and I's awkward moments as well so she wouldn't be the only one out there!
