Saving My Family One Dollar At A Time

If you are my friend on Facebook or you follow me on Instagram then you know that I have started couponing. Every week we were getting these coupons and basically throwing them away. Even if I only save us $5.00 a week that's $5 we didn't have to spend but I've been saving a lot more than that. I'm in the process of writing a post on How To coupon and what I've found that works for my family. That will be coling in the next week probably on Monday after Sunday's inserts come in the mail.

I almost shop exclusively at Winn-Dixie for groceries since you can earn fuel perks which help you save while filling up.  You earn $0.05 for every $50 you spend, $0.10 for every $25 in baby items if you are part of the Baby Club, and then each week they have bonus fuel perks where you can earn between $0.03 and $0.25 on qualifying items. They also all last until the end of the next month and roll over on purchases. Why wouldn't you want to save on Gas?

I do shop on occasion at Publix because they have store coupons which you can stack with a manufacture coupon. Also, I shop at Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree. Dollar General & Family Dollar also have store coupons which lead to FREE items.

Smuckers Caramel Topping: $0.82 each ($2.65 originally)

Head & Shoulders: $2.00 each with FREE travel size Old Spice deodorant ($5 originally)

Renuzit Air Freshners: $0.56 each ($1.00 originally)

Old Spice Bar Soap 2ct: $0.50 ($2.00 originally)

Gatorade 32oz: $0.80 each ($1.00 originally)

Gillette Venus Razor: FREE ($5.50 originally)

Dollar Tree 6/30/2013

Original Price: $4.63

Out Of Pocket: $2.13

Total Savings: $2.50

Hamburger Helpers: $0.25 each (They are half the size of the regular size that retails for $1.99 at Winn-Dixie. So using two boxes to make it $0.50 vs. $1.99 a savings of $1.49)

Red Baron Deep Dish Singles: $0.50

Charmin Basic Huge Roll: $0.75

Italian Ice: FREE

Winn-Dixie 7/1/2013

Original Price: $189.93

Out Of Pocket: $81.04

Total Savings: $108.89

Fuel Perks Earned: $0.58
